Enterprise in Place: Glasgow

Are you a woman over 50 in Glasgow with an enterprise or micro-business idea you want to explore?

We know that midlife women are under-represented in enterprise. We also know there are many women out there who – with the right support – could make the leap into the next chapter.

We’ve got some funding to deliver a community-focused programme with Glasgow Collective on developing an enterprise or micro-business, for Glasgow-based women aged 50+ who are navigating redundancy or career change.

We understand that starting and growing a business can be tough and lonely. This support will be designed to help you connect with others, and to give you the support you need to move forward.

If you are outside of the 50+ age bracket, please sign-up anyway as there may be other ways we can offer support.

Meet your Community Connectors

At the centre of the programme will be the people who will support and connect you with a network of amazing women. Meet Lauren from Glasgow Collective.

Click here to sign-up and Lauren will be in touch with more information.

Check out the full programme of support below.

Once you’ve registered, our team will share details to book onto the free sessions.

Is the programme for me?

This programme is for women aged 50+…

  • You might not have started but are curious about what it would involve
  • You might have some ideas that you’ve started planning or testing
  • You might have started up and want help getting to the next stage

How will the programme help me?

The goal of the programme is to help you in the following ways:

  • Gain practical business knowledge
  • Create an action plan for the next steps for growing or starting an enterprise or micro business
  • Develop a strong peer network
  • Bring you into the wider ecosystem of business support available in your community

What will the programme cover?

We will design the programme to meet your needs, but it will have several key elements:

  • 1:1’s with your Community Connectors (Lauren and Nicola)
  • Mentoring, signposting and help connecting with people from Glasgow Collective and beyond that will be supportive and helpful in your journey
  • Peer support meet-ups
