Showcase Event for our Nature-Based Entrepreneurs

At the end of September, we hosted our showcase event for the individuals who had taken part in our Good Ideas Nature-Based Accelerator.

The event was hosted in partnership with Glasgow Caledonian University, Glasgow City Council and Social Innovation Connect UK.

After 6 months of hard work, the showcase was an opportunity for our entrepreneurs to celebrate and share their nature-based enterprise with a wider network.

During the event, our entrepreneurs pitched their ideas in 2-minutes, explaining their enterprise aims and how they will make an impact within Glasgow and beyond. A truly diverse array of nature-based enterprises was showcased, with plans to tackle period poverty, provide eco-tourism solutions, deliver woodland play therapy, improve air quality and reduce flooding – to name just a few!

The evening had over 60 people in attendance including academics, green funders, eco-system support networks and organisations working in the nature-based solution space. Connections were made and potential collaboration opportunities identified.

Overwhelmingly, the message communicated by our entrepreneurs was that together, we can make a difference and address some of the biggest environmental challenges our planet faces. With the seed of a good idea, the right support and a committed network of peers, change can happen.
