The Melting Pot has had a great month in the press, with our coworking space and Coworking Accelerator receiving national coverage.
Scottish national newspaper The Scotsman featured Claire Carpenter discussing the Coworking Accelerator Network and the ethos behind it. You can read the article in full below.
“While the term coworking may be bandied about, referring to what is effectively hot-desking,” writes Emma Newlands for the paper, “a leader in the field wants to re-appropriate its definition to emphasise its added value of ‘good community and economic practices’.”
“The intention is to help create independent quality coworking spaces internationally, linking those with shared values in a bid to foster community spirit”
To our surprise and delight we’ve also been spotted by Cosmopolitan UK! The May edition included a piece on the ‘coworking revolution’ where they featured us as their pick for coworking in Scotland.
Insider.co.uk is the online edition of Scotland’s leading business magazine, Business Insider. This article introduces The Melting Pot as pioneers of coworking and outlines the goals of our recently launched Coworking Accelerator Network:
“The initiative, being launched next month, aims to connect quality coworking spaces and making available advice, tools, systems and templates, advice and even the staff time necessary to start similar spaces.”
Invest Edinburgh’s article “The Rise and Rise of Social Enterprise” covered social enterprises such as Social Bite, Ginerosity and of course The Melting Pot.
The article mentions The Melting Pot’s wonderful community of 170 Members, our incubation programme the Good Ideas Academy and the Coworking Accelerator Network.
With many exciting projects on the horizon we hope to continue to grow our coverage so keep your eyes peeled! And be sure to let us konw if you see us crop up somewhere unusual that we may have missed…
