Get to know the newest Members of The Melting Pot, these guys are tackling everything from solar cookers to entrepreneurial mindsets. 

Adam Ramsay joined up after working from home became a bit lonely. Rumour has it he likes dancing round his kitchen, hopefully he’ll be busting some moves in the tea prep soon. Adam runs openDemocracy which educates citizens to challenge power and encourages democratic debate. He edit its UK section, mostly investigating dark money in politics at the moment.

Joe Trodden provides coaching and support to entrepreneurs in the post start-up phase to prepare them to scale. They use a combination of e-learning, 1-2-1 coaching and mastermind groups. The mission is to enable emerging businesses to firstly see if going up to a scale level is for them and, if so, to enable the entrepreneur to reach their full potential. He has a background in social enterprise and entrepreneurship and has coached over 500 people, including 300 entrepreneurs! When not helping people thrive Joe loves running and being in the mountains.

Helen Bradley works with Future Asset an organisation aiming to raise aspirations and confidence in young women across Scotland. They encourage young women to choose ambitious career paths and create a network connecting pupils, teachers and careers advisors to the diversity of opportunities in asset management and the wider financial industry.

Robert Kerr is currently writing a book on the background, analysis and construction of Solar Cookers. He explained, “Using modern materials I demonstrate building solar cookers ranging from cheap models for developing regions to fully integrated models for zero energy homes. The modular design encourages an internationally cooperative business model based on common standards.” Before this Robert has followed a diverse path: travelling extensively in Africa, the USA and Central America, working as an overland driver in Africa, in the Music Industry in Los Angeles and mapping the world through Openstreetmaporg the “wikipedia of Maps”.
