TMP Members Active Inquiry are an arts company based in Leith committed to creating exciting new theatre and arts projects with and for communities. They have 5 different shows on this August!

The Waves on the Seas

Following on from the success of last year’s Tales from the Hanging Captain, Active Inquiry’s Flashback Drama Group, Strange Town Young Company and writer Duncan Kidd join forces again to continue to tell the story of Leith Docks. Following three generations of Italian immigrants the play explores how Leith has affected the lives of all those who have come and gone over the years and the mark that they have made.

The Waves on the Seas is on from 16th-19th August and explores the history of Leith Docks – info and tickets are here.

Active Inquiry’s two-year project, Spect-Act is culminating with various performances in the Just Festival. Working with different community groups we present a series of plays exploring addiction, domestic abuse, mental health and gender discrimination including The Fair-Ground…

Roll up roll up! Pay your money and play the game! Everyone has an equal chance in the Fair-Ground, haven’t they? Or are some games rigged for a privileged few? Helen has always believed she lives in a Just and Fair society but her experience of gender discrimination opens her eyes to the injustice around her. Will she keep playing the game or do the rules need to change?
