Events Marketing

If you are holding a public event in The Melting Pot, we can provide a public events marketing service to help spread the word  - all for a one off payment of only £30. For further information, click here.

Interview Hosting

We realise that conducting interviews can be as stressful for the interviewer as they are for the interviewee - whether it's for new staff, board members or interns / volunteers. Our meeting room is perfect for the interviews and for just £5 per interviewee, we can provide an additional interview hosting service -  helping you and your candidates take some of the stress and strain out of the day. Video Conferencing

The Melting Pot works with TMP Member Prescience Communications to provide an international video conferencing service for meeting and events customers. This includes hire and setup of equipment, as well a test link and onsite technical support during your conference. For further information, click here.

Teleconferencing

Are you looking for a simple-to-use system with a strong connection in a private meeting room? Our teleconferencing facilities are a cost-effective way to meet all those requirements whether you want to make a private, local or international call to one or many recipients. Our ten person meeting room will meet your needs and also has a view of Edinburgh Castle! Meeting room charge is £16 per hour and teleconferencing charge is £10 per UK connection and £15 for international connections.  As always these rates are inclusive of VAT.

Need something special?

Do you need a special 'thank you' present for someone speaking at your event? Would you like a surprise cake for a birthday? Do you have a special dietary requirement?  Whatever your special requirement, ask and we'll see what we can do to help you in a budget you can afford.

BYOB

If you wish to hold a social event here, you're welcome to provide your own alcoholic refreshments and use our wine and tall glasses, crockery etc.  There's a small charge (£4 per bottle of wine) to cover use and clear-up of glasses, and recycling etc.

Private Functions

Our workshop space is an ideal venue for social gatherings, launches or private functions. The space is modern, neutral and accessible and you can decorate it if you wish. There's complimentary use of the data-projector and sound system. You can bring your own catering, or choose from our menu and also BYOB. Our dedicated Host will be on-hand throughout the event and will have the room set up upon arrival. Being on Rose Street and in a non-residential area full of pubs, there's no need to worry about the neighbours if your party gets a little loud...

Self-Catering

If you would like to bring in (or have delivered) your own food and drink, we provide a self catering service in which:
  • you can have your catering delivered to and stored in our kitchen
  • you will be provided with clean crockery and cutlery
  • you will be provided with cleaning materials, if required
  • the Event Host will be on-hand to help you throughout your event; for example, to show you how to operate the cooker and dishwasher.
The charge for this service is £30 per event.  Please note there will be a surcharge if the facilities are not left in a clean and tidy condition.

Whole Space Hire - All of TMP

Hire of the whole space includes everything on our floor - all 3000 sq. ft. Our low carbon and eco-friendly space is fully accessible and it is ideal for public consultations, large AGMs, conferences and social gatherings. With a wide range of delicious, organic, locally sourced and Fair Trade catering/refreshments - we can cater for your event if you wish, or you can bring in your own food.
