Sophy Dale is a serial entrepreneur with a background working in the arts, publishing and for literacy charities. Mentoring service-based online entrepreneurs is her third business and she’s passionate about the freedom having an online business can bring you. Sophy said, “My clients are introverts, creatives and purpose-driven entrepreneurs who are frustrated that their business isn’t as successful as they want it to be. Their passion and hard work hasn’t yet turned into reliable income and they’re not sure if they can succeed without selling out. I help them build an ethical and sustainable business so they can earn good money while staying true to themselves.”
Poppy Isaacs works for DMA Global, a leading global payments consultancy. DMA’s core expertise is in remittances, payments systems, financial inclusion and digital payment instruments. Poppy joined us looking for a coworking space with a bit of chat – make sure we live up to our reputation and give her a warm welcome.
Steve Johnson spent 21 years in the RAF serving as a technician then as an engineer, in 2005 he set up and ran a successful Bed & Breakfast on the Isle of Skye for 6 years selling it in 2011 to concentrate on my flourishing web business which he now runs full time. Nicola Dobson was one of very few people to brave the storms on one of our Open Days, and we’re very glad she did – welcome Nicola! She helps communities take control of their energy needs. Working with community learning and development (CLD) professionals Nicola ensures the community gains the maximum benefit from project delivery.
Femke de Boer has just started a brand new position with the Scottish White Fish Producers Association. Formed in 1943, SWFPA is the largest fishing association in Scotland and in Europe. They represent around 200 vessels and 1,400 fishermen who contribute £158 million (€200 million) to Scotland’s economy. Providing a voice in the political world, practical help and planning and innovation for the future. Femke has taken up residence at one of our Fixed Desks, why not stop by and say hi.
Emma Chapman has joined The Melting Pot to Hot Desk a few times a month. Designer, Art Director, UX-er and potentially inventor of the word UX-er, Emma helps organisations craft digital experiences.
