Membership of The Melting Pot gives you a professional and eco-smart office right in the centre of Edinburgh. You do not have the cost and hassle of setting up your own office; of leasing or buying premises, of putting down a deposit, or of signing up for a minimum of 12 months, etc.
We provide total flexibility for you to scale up or down your package as you need to, so you only pay for the hours you anticipate you will need each month. You could be an individual in need of only a few hours with us per month, or an organisation seeking multiple-user access; whatever your needs we can cater to them. And at The Melting Pot no joining fee or deposit is required.
Who can join?
Membership is open to anyone working for 'more than profit'. We are interested in what you do (or are trying to do), that contributes to making the world a better place - not what type of legal entity you are. You will find that we have a real mix of skills, areas of expertise, personal backgrounds, ages and stages of development.
Some examples of our members inculde:
- lone Scottish employees of UK charities
- volunteers and part-time staff for charities and community organisations
- sole trader consultants to third-sector
- start-up social innovators
- organisations needing an occasional base for their staff in the capital

If you are not entirely sure after one trial day, you can also purchase a day or half-day pass to try the place again.
Get working!
You do not need to book in advance, just show up with your laptop any time after 8.30am Monday to Friday. Pick a seat, log on to the phone and Wi-Fi and get to work, and don't forget to help yourself to a cup of tea or coffee!

The Melting Pot is not only a co-working place it is also a networking place. We enable a network of socially innovative individuals to connect, learn and share across sectors, informally and through a programme of skill-sharing, information, networking and social events.
