Membership of The Melting Pot gives you a professional, eco-funky office in the centre of Edinburgh where you can meet and work alongside a range of interesting people doing amazing things. You don’t have the cost and hassle of setting up your own office, of leasing or buying premises, of putting down a deposit, or of signing up for a minimum of 12 months, etc.
There’s total flexibility for you to scale up or down as you need to, and to just pay for the hours you anticipate you'll need each month, with phone line rental, Wi-Fi broadband, heat, light, everyday printing and the essential tea and coffee all included in our Memberhsip packages.
If you're an individual who doesn't need much time in the co-working space, but you want to be part of our vibrant community, look at our Connection package.
If you're a company looking for multiple-user access for hot-desking and access to our other benefits look at our Networker package.
Join
Membership is open to anyone working for 'more than profit'. We're interested in what you do (or are trying to do), that contributes to making the world a better place - not what type of legal entity you are. You'll find that we have a real mix - of skills, areas of expertise, personal backgrounds, age and stages of development (including start ups, emerging, stable and growing companies).
Some examples include:
- sole paid employees of small local charities;
- lone Scottish employees of UK charities;
- volunteers and part-time staff for charities and community organisations;
- sole trader consultants to third-sector organisations;
- start-up social innovators;
- organisations needing an occasional base for their staff in the capital.

Once you’re sure you want to join us, just pick the membership level that’s right for you and complete our online membership application form. If we have space at the level you choose, you can get started straight away. There is no joining fee and no deposit.
Work
You don’t need to book in advance, just show up with your laptop any time after 8.30am Monday to Friday. Pick a seat, log on to the phones and Wi-Fi and get to work. Don't forget to help yourself to a cup-a-tea or coffee too!

Note: The Melting Pot is closed between Christmas and New Year (26th December 2011 to 3rd January 2012 inclusive). But we are open many of the various bank holidays throughout the year.
