Parisa Urquhart runs her property company from one of The Melting Pot’s Fixed Desks, she’s also passionate about film and documentary. Parisa brought in the new year by taking a trip to South Uist and came back wanting to spread the word about the community. What better way to give people a taste of South Uist than through the power of film?

The group Ceolas, based in South Uist, is a distillation of the island’s culture and heritage, they’re raising funds to build a Centre for Gàidhlig Music, Dance and Culture! You can donate, even a small amount, to show your support.

Have a watch of this 4 minute video by Parisa to experience Hogmanay traditions, fantastic Gaidhlig music and how wild Uist Ceilidhs can be!
