    What you say

I have used The Melting Pot whilst working for two entities over the last 4 years – one public sector and one third sector. The community is so warm I have started new projects through the connections made, attended training and even run some community events myself. I particularly like the creativity and fun people bring to the Pot. The variety and diversity of the recent U-lab hub here had depth and breath to our connecting and our individual and collective journeys were all the stronger for the vibe and freedom TMP gave us all. The Melting Pot is great for meetings and training central and friendly with great catering and a flexible can do approach.

Our Members’ Stories

For our 9th birthday party we asked some of our Members to share their stories and how The Melting Pot has stimulated and supported them as social innovators.

Jenni Inglis is an alumni of our incubator programme, the Good Ideas Academy, she has also been a TMP Member and even a TMP Director!

Jenni founded VIE (Value, Involve, Evolve) which offers a wide range of strategic consultancy, facilitation, research, evaluation, development and capacity-building support to public and third sectors.

Pete White founded the charity Positive Prisons? Positive Futures which represents people who have been through the criminal justice system aiming to ensure they are seen as citizens.

Pete has been a member for 4 years but his connection to The Melting Pot actually goes back 40 years! He worked for the architect firm responsible for bringing Thorn House, home of The Melting Pot, back to life 40 years ago.

Mairi works for the Religious Society of Friends (the Quakers!) and works at The Melting Pot because she is the only one of her colleagues that works in Scotland! A lot of her work focuses on peace work and anti-militarism.

Stephen is an Independent Financial Advisor, long time Member of The Melting Pot and an incredibly important part of our community. He deservedly won the David Drysdale Award for Most Welcoming Member at this years Coworking Awards.
