Bringing together interesting people doing amazing things

About

Our original idea at The Settlement was to create a shared residence for unpaid interns, managed by a host. Our most recent project Room for Tea is a homesharing network, it connects unpaid interns looking for cheap housing to people who have a spare room in their homes. Make room, make a change: a simple way to help people help each other. This scheme differentiates itself from other flatshare websites such as spareroom.co.uk, as it tackles specific issues and generates social good. The scheme primarily targets homeowners affected by a form of exclusion, although to start with we wish to approach anyone who has a spare room to rent. Room for Tea is the 2nd prize winner of this year's Social Innovation Camp.
