CEiS - Finance for Non-Finance Managers - 22nd Sept & 24th Nov - FREE Event
This finance workshop is aimed at non-finance managers of Third Sector organisations. The aim of the training is to improve the capacity of Third Sector organisations to control finances and engage in high-quality financial planning. The workshop offers a mixture of class-based activity, participative learning exercises and peer learning. You can contribute and share ideas and experiences. Alternatively, this course is also available online.

GCVS - Mainstreaming Equalities Organisational Development Programme - 14th Sep, 14th Oct, 18th Nov, 16th Dec and the 11th Jan
This free programme aims to build capacity to deliver effective equality mainstreaming for organisations and their members. Participants will share their equalities knowledge and experience and explore the practical, reasonable actions they can use to mainstream equality. The Mainstreaming Equalities Change Champion project is funded through the Big Lottery Fund in Scotland, through the Supporting Voluntary Action Programme being administered by SCVO (the Scottish Council for the Voluntary Sector). TMP member John Mark Di Ciacca has a wealth of experience in hosting beer tastings; he has even been flown to Brussels to deliver a tasting for an international conference. Physical practical energising workshop with relaxation. This workshop using laughter yoga (simple tension releasing exercises based on mime and play which anyone can do) encourages participants to explore how they can develop their own creativity to improve our mood. Research has shown that laughter has a very positive effect on our health. Participants will have the opportunity to take part in an energising physical laughter workshop. Exercises are great team building tool, which increase better communication, enhance relationships, give that ‘feel-good factor’ while encouraging positive thinking and creativity. This is event is now closed to members (see private members event below) and only open to the public.

Laughter Yoga is simpl
e, tension-releasing exercises based on mime and play (which anyone can do!) It’s a fun form of exercise, good for all, that strengthens the immune system, unwinds the negative effects of stress and makes you feel good in the here and now. There are no contortions, jokes or comedy and previous experience or equipment is not required. You don't even need to be happy for it to work! We will supply our body with fresh oxygen, strengthen the immune system and boost "happy" brain chemistry.
